Utilization of Funds Allocated to Agricultural Research Institute Libraries in Nigeria

This study focused on the utilization of funds allocated to agricultural research institute libraries in Nigeria. All fifteen (15) were involved main study; three pilot study, and twelve study. The survey method was adopted instrument used for data collection Agricultural Research Institute Libraries Nigeria Questionnaire (UFARILNQ). UFARILNQ solicited responses from principal officers ARIs their librarians who themselves major users libraries. line with two objectives study: extent which appropriated met services needs collected analysed using frequency distributions, percentages, mean scores, standard deviation, graphs, tests differences relationships four hypothesis. One way ANOVA test received among ARILs. established that ARILs inadequate but well utilized except purchase computers deployed provision. provided literature search, reference, selective dissemination information, adjudged be those required meet users, mobile library non-existent. Even as funding inadequate, respondents satisfied judicious use resulting offering satisfactory services. However, hypotheses tested at significant level 0.05. decision hypothesis rejected P< 0.05 retained alpha (P> 0.05). For one, observed P-value 0.134, higher than fixed significance From this observation, null there is no difference fund by therefore retained. Hypotheses one recommendations included all institutes should properly respective purposes. Also librarian each a Principal Officer enable have meaningful understanding allocations.
